
Patrick Antkowiak
Patrick Antkowiak is a strategy, technology and business executive and board leader with deep experience in aerospace, defense, industrial software, and technology markets, including as Chief Technology and Strategy Officer for Northrop Grumman, and as a member of the board of directors at Aspen Tech. He was most recently a member of the board of directors of AspenTech (NASDAQ AZPN), a global software leader in digital transformation of asset intensive industries for performance optimization and sustainability, until they were acquired in March 2025.
Antkowiak's career at Northrop Grumman spanned over 38 years. As Chief Strategy and Technology Officer, he built and executed the company’s strategy for organic growth in emerging missions and technologies including hypersonic systems, quantum computing/transformational computing, secure microelectronics, digital transformation, artificial intelligence/machine learning, next generation air dominance, and space.
Antkowiak has public company board experience as a member of the board of directors of AspenTech. He is a member of the board for Frequentis Defense Inc, a leading provider of secure voice, digital tower, and military air traffic control systems. He is also a founding partner in AgileView, an early-stage Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning company serving the geospatial data and intelligence market, and serves as an advisor to Starburst Ventures, and a senior advisor to one of their portfolio companies.
Antkowiak has also recently served as a member of the Department of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, the principal external advisory body to the Secretary of the Air Force and senior staff on scientific and technology matters. He is a member of the board of directors for the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, a non-profit focused on acceleration of innovative robotics technologies and workforce strategies for the nation. He is a member of The Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting School of Engineering Dean’s advisory board; one of the nation’s leading engineering schools and top ranked biomedical engineering program. He received his BSEE in electrical and computer engineering (ECE) from The Johns Hopkins University, and MSEE from the University of Maryland, where he was honored with the ECE department’s Distinguished Alumni award. He also attended the General Manager’s program at Harvard Business School.
